Firmware Developer

Job description 

As a Firmware Developer at InnoTractor, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the firmware using Zephyr RTOS, Nordic MCUs, and other embedded programming languages. You will work closely with developers and consultants from (inter)national partners, providing solutions to technical challenges. You will also work on the requirements, architecture, design, and development of embedded, multi-threading, real-time firmware. 

 

You can be a fit if you have: 

  • A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Embedded Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, software engineering or similar
  • Relevant work experience in embedded software/firmware development
  • Work experience with IoT Device hardware development is a plus
  • Solid knowledge of embedded programming languages ​​C ( C++ is a plus!) and design principles for embedded systems
  • Experience with RTOS preferably Zephyr
  • Experience with Nordic MCUs or similar
  • Knowledge in the field of embedded networks: LTE:M/NB-IoT, Cat-M, GSM, LwM2M, MQTT
  • Experience in automated testing and CI/CD process, version control system (git)
  • Agile way of working

  

The day-to-day activities include: 

  •        Develop firmware using Zephyr RTOS, Nordic MCUs
  •        Work with developers and consultants from (inter)national partners on issues and provide solutions for technical challenges.
  •        Work on the requirements, architecture, design, and development of embedded, multi-threading, real-time firmware.
  •        Assess whether new embedded software technology can benefit InnoTractor or its customers, and if so how.
  •        Provide input to the product owners, solution architects, and other software developers with your knowledge and experience.
  •        Assess epics, user stories, and features for feasibility in terms of costs and time.
